Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information

Last updated October 1, 2026

You can tell MugshotLookup not to sell or share your personal information. The request is free, you do not need an account, and we do not ask you to buy anything. This page explains what the request covers and how to make it.

What this request covers

  • Records about you in search results and reports. When a user opens a report, information about the person searched is disclosed to that user. Some state laws treat this as a sale. Your request suppresses your name and the records tied to it from MugshotLookup search results and reports.
  • Your account information. We do not sell the personal information of account holders and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising. Your request is recorded on your account all the same.

How to make the request

  1. Open the opt-out form and choose Opt out of search results and reports.

  2. Enter your name, your state and an email address for the confirmation.

  3. Confirm the request with the link we email you.

You can also write to support@mugshotlookup.com with the subject Do Not Sell or Share. An authorized agent can make the request for you with your signed permission.

Opt-out preference signals

If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a request to opt out of sale and sharing for that browser. To suppress records about you from reports, use the form above, because a browser signal does not tell us your name.

How long it takes

Standard requests are handled within 72 hours. Priority requests, for survivors of domestic violence or stalking and for people in an Address Confidentiality Program, are handled within 24 hours. We email you when the request is complete, and the suppression stays in place without renewal and without a fee.

Your other privacy rights

Depending on your state, you also have the right to know what personal information we hold about you, to get a copy, to correct it and to delete it. The Privacy Policy lists these rights and how to use them. We do not treat you differently for making any of these requests.
